Grande Communications presents Frisco Family Services, RSVP with Grande Cares Check

The Frisco Enterprise - 3/31/2018

Grande Communications, the Texas-based broadband communications company, recently presented two local organizations with check donations on the morning show All Things Epic at KVGI Studios. Chisholm Trail RSVP and Frisco Family Services were both presented with $2,000 donations each. These donations are part of Grande's employee philanthropy club, Grande Cares, where employees seek to enhance the communities where they provide service and where they live, work and play.

Frisco Family Services is a nonprofit organization that has helped members of our communities who are facing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs improve their quality of life and achieve self-sufficiency for the past 24 years.

Over the span of one year FFS assisted more than 3,490 individuals, provided more than $1.24 million in annual program support and more than 474,600 meals. Frisco Family Services provides adults with life skill classes and children with books, holiday gifts and meals through their summer lunch program. The Grande Cares grant will be used for the lunch program.

RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is centered around the belief that older adult volunteers are valuable resources whose talent and experience can be utilized to create safer, healthier and stronger communities.

RSVP partners with over 100 nonprofits across Denton County in recruiting and placing adults over 55 within the following focus areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures and other community priorities based on assessed needs.

The Grande Cares grant will be used for their Seniors Health Immunization Prevention program.
