Child care share could help with the crisis

Has anyone thought about doing child care share (Herald, April 4)?

That's when one group of six parents take care of the other five parents children one day a week. That way everyone in the group has free child care after the cost of getting your CPR and background checks.

Since it's not for pay, it does not require state licensing.

One of my girlfriends did this in Texas with several members of their church. The church was gracious enough to allow them to do this at the church Monday through Friday. On Sunday, the sixth parent taught Sunday school and provided day care for the younger children.
