Gang shooting wounds two men

Witnesses said several vehicles sped from the area after the shooting. A short time later, a man who was a victim of the shooting arrived at a local hospital with a serious non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

Two people were injured Monday in an afternoon shooting in Southeast Portland.

Portland's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the shooting that happened at about 12:46 p.m.Oct. 30 in the 2800 block of Southeast 125th Avenue. Officers found evidence of gunfire at the scene but no victims. Witnesses said several vehicles sped from the area after the shooting.

A short time later, a man who was a victim of the shooting arrived at a local hospital with a serious non-life-threatening gunshot injury. At about 3:47 p.m., another man arrived at a Portland hospital with injuries sustained in the shooting. That man also had what police said was a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

The victims' names have not been released.

Police said it was 95th Gang Violence Response Team investigation in 2017.
