Families finally able to hug loved ones in Nebraska nursing home
Patriot-News - 2/15/2021
Families are finally able to hug and hold hands with their loved ones at The Good Samaritan Society nursing home in Alma, Neb., for the first time in almost a year.
The facility recently started allowing what it calls: indoor “touch visits,” according to a post and video on KETV abc 7 Omaha.
Of course, there are stipulations. Family members of the residents are asked to wear full PPE, such as gown, N95 mask and face shield. Oh, and there’s one more rule. They are only allotted 10 minutes.
But all the directives do not matter. Just being in the same room sends the spirits soaring, as you can see in the video on KETV ABC 7.
Nora Christensen gives her father Jim a long hug, ending the visit with a kiss on her dad’s head — through her face shield of course — saying “I love you.”
