Hemiplegic Hand Orthosis

The Hemiplegic Hand Orthosis is a Kydex and aluminum hand orthosis designed to replace the hemiplegic platform splint. The Volar Kydex hand and thumb piece is adjustable with a heat gun; the dorsal aluminum arm frame is padded with Plastazote, and the wrist hinges can be locked at any angle and set with the rivet. The brace is secured with a Velcro closure. SIZES: In the kit, Small (for up to 3.25 inches across MP joints), and Large (over 3.25 inches across the MP joints); Assembled orthoses, order with measurements for the width of the MP joint at the widest point, the distance from the MP joint at the finger to the radial wrist crease, and the circumference of the wrist and forearm 6 inches above the wrist.
