The Digitone Audible Switching Device is a driving control system designed for use by individuals with physical disabilities. This device enables the driver to activate up to eight vehicle functions using one switch. Functions that can be activated include turn signals, horn, dimmer, wiper speeds, wiper wash, cruise on, and cruise set. When the switch connected to this device is depressed, the device begins emitting a series of eight different tones of a musical octave, each of which is assigned a vehicle function. The driver depresses the switch and holds it until the desired note is reached, and then releases it to activate the vehicle function assigned to that note. The dealer can adjust the scan rate and volume as well as which vehicle functions are activated by the individual notes. This control device is available as a stand-alone product or built into the manufacturer's Gold Series Console System (see separate entry). OPTIONS: Compatible switches available for use with this control device include the Power Headrest (see separate entry), an elbow operated switch, a circular dome switch (1.75-, 2.5-, or 5-inch diameter), or Tri-pin activation from an AEVIT L-Series input device.
