The GEWA Control Prog is a remote controller for an environmental control system designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities, severe physical disabilities, or spinal cord injury. This hand-held infrared transmitter can learn channels from other remote controls such as TV and video or function within the GEWA Infra-Link system using either direct selection or scanning. This 15-level programmable transmitter can send 241 signals to control environmental devices, including security-coded devices such as apartment or house doors, and X-10 remote control devices for lighting and appliances. Level 10 is pre-programmed to send commands to a personal computer (PC). For this function a 6632 Access USB Interface is required but not included. One or several buttons can be adapted to coding; choose between 4096 different codes, e.g. for door locking procedures. There are options to create sequences (macros) so that one button press can send multiple signals. The transmitter does not need to be aimed at the receivers and can be used from as far away as 100 feet, within a line of sight. For those who cannot operate the transmitter by hand, it can be actuated by any single-function control such as a sip or puff switch, head actuated switch, or hand or foot switch. A keyguard and neck-strap are included. POWER: Uses 4 triple-A alkaline batteries (not included). OPTIONS: Holder, data cables, access USB Interface, and keyguards. DIMENSIONS: 5.3 x 2.8 x 1 inches. WEIGHT: 6.3 ounces.
