The Chronicle - 8/12/2021

Aug. 11—Lewis County law enforcement agencies will participate in a 1-mile torch run for the Special Olympics and local Special Olympic athletes on Aug. 28. Each runner will participate on behalf of an athlete.

Others who are not law enforcement officials can participate in the following ways:

—Sign up to be a virtual runner. Support Lewis County Special Olympics on any timeline. Participants can pledge to run a 1-mile segment and complete it between Aug. 8 and Aug. 22. They are encouraged to post a selfie tagging the "Lewis County Law Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run" Facebook page or use the hashtag #lewiscountyletr2021.

—Donate to sponsor a favorite first responder or Special Olympics athlete. The funds raised each year are an important part of keeping these opportunities available for local athletes. Learn more at lewiscountyletr.com.
