Muldrow child molester recommended life in prison

Times Record - 2/13/2020

Feb. 13--A Sequoyah County jury on Tuesday requested a Muldrow man who molested a 12-year-old girl spend life in prison.

Vincent Harry Small, 61, was convicted on one count of lewd molestation after he was found guilty of exposing and fondling himself while touching the girl. Investigators found that Small, who on Feb. 15, 2019 was doing yard work at the residence where the incident happened, repeatedly touched the girl while telling her he was trying to help her, according to a District 27 news release.

The owner of the residence -- the grandmother of the victim -- told investigators Small was let inside the home after he complained he was too hot outside. He molested the girl while she and a friend played darts in the living room.

Small then left the home and texted the grandmother: "After all I've done to help you and your family now you drop something like this on me because something someone saw that they were never meant to see."

"Residents should feel safe in knowing their law enforcement representatives are working hand-in-hand with the legal system to send a strong message to criminals that the only place for you in Sequoyah County is behind bars," District 27 Attorney Jack Thorp said in the news release.
