Fort Worth Star-Telegram - 8/4/2020

Aug. 4--A man shot and killed a woman inside a Fort Worth apartment on Monday night and also sustained critical gunshot wounds himself, police said.

The department is investigating the shooting as a domestic violence-related homicide. A police spokesperson said on Tuesday morning he couldn't say who shot the man or what relationship he had with the woman.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Jasmine Trinidad Cordero, 21. An autopsy is pending.

Officers responded to the shooting call in the 6600 block of South Freeway around 6:45 p.m. Monday, police said. They found the man and the woman inside of an apartment with apparent gunshot wounds.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. It's unclear if charges have been brought against the man. His name hasn't been released.
