Comanche man facing four child sexual abuse charges

May 20—A man from Comanche is behind bars in the Stephens County Jail on a $500,000 bond and facing accusations of alleged child sexual abuse.
Richard Lee Mann, 46, of Comanche, faces four counts of child sexual abuse, a crime which is punishable in Oklahoma by imprisonment in the Department of Corrections not exceeding life imprisonment, or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $5,000 or both the fine and imprisonment.
If found guilty of the accused crime, Mann will have to serve at least 85% of his sentence before becoming eligible before parole.
Mann made his initial appearance before a judge on May 19. He is scheduled for an attorney announcement date at 2 p.m.June 10, 2021. He will return to court for a preliminary hearing conference at 9 a.m.June 30, 2021.
