Duncan Banner - 6/4/2021
Jun. 3—A Comanche man is in custody after a warrant was issued for accusations of rape in the first degree to a victim under 14.
According to court documentation, Cory Lee Mann, 26, of Comanche, is accused of rape in the first degree to a victim under the age of 14. The crime is punishable by not less than five years, life or life without parole.
According to affidavits received from the Stephens County Courthouse, on May 25, 2021, law enforcement learned of the abuse through means of an interview. They learned from the interview the abuse allegedly happened in between Mann's stints in prison, reports state.
The affidavit shows Mann was incarcerated from April 14, 2015, to January 19, 2017, and also from Dec. 7, 2018, to May 1, 2020. Investigators determined the incident allegedly occurred during summer of 2017, records state.
Court records show that the crime occurred in Indian Country, however, it is believed that Mann is not a member of a federally recognized tribe, therefore was charged through the State of Oklahoma.
