The Citizens' Voice - 5/13/2022
May 13—A Nescopeck man was arraigned Friday on charges that he sexually molested two young girls for whom he was entrusted to care.
Steven Donald Yoder, 24, of W. Fifth St., is accused of exposing himself and making the girls fondle him while he was supposed to be babysitting them.
During questioning, Yoder initially denied ever touching the girls or having them touch him, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Troopers charged Yoder with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault of a child, sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.
Magisterial District Judge Donald L. Whittaker arraigned Yoder on the charges Friday morning and set bail at $250,000.
Yoder was being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility with a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 17.
