Millbrae man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting 11-year-old relative

MILLBRAE — A 42-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of 20 counts of sexual assault and molestation after he allegedly abused a 11-year-old family member repeatedly over the course of four months, according to authorities.

Di Li, of Millbrae, was arrested in San Francisco after detectives obtained a $2 million arrest warrant.

In a news release, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said detectives began investigating the case on April 17. Authorities did not say how the case first came to their attention.

Authorities said that Li was booked on suspicion of sexual molestation of a child under 14 years old and aggravated sexual assault of a child. They said he was booked on 20 total counts but did not provide a breakdown. It was not clear if Li had been charged Friday.
