JPS and the staff were very nice and helpful to my friend. They were allowed as many phone calls as they desired and would bring messages to the patient. They were not allowed to leave under the warrant because they were a danger to themselves, not because the hospital was mean or treating them cruelly. It was disappointing that they could not keep someone longer to heal but they have the right to a court-appointed attorney and can talk their way out .
This place failed my son twice. They mis diagnosed him and put him on the wrong meds. They released him after 7 days from attempting suicide. He was out 6 months and killed himself anyway. Stay away from here!!!

Do not ever let a loved one go to JPS for inpatient psychiatric care. You may never get them back! They will release your loved one onto the street with nothing!
Rude, cruel, desrespectful staff. No compassion.

I don't recommend this service for your loved one. This program is not what it seems. Please seek a professional and caring facility to save your loved one.

This place should be shut down. I’m not even sure if what they’re doing is legal. They keep patients here against their will and deprive them of necessities. Please DO NOT come here.
