The Possum Compact is a remote environmental control unit designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities, severe physical disabilities, or spinal cord injury. This unit's programmable menu functions allow remote control of household electrical appliances and security and access systems. Although most functions are controlled via infrared, a radio transmitter is also provided for emergency functions such as triggering an alarm, pager, or door opener. All programmed functions can be viewed via the unit's backlit scanning menu. Auditory tones assist users with low vision. The unit can be operated via the built-in push button or any standard mono input switch. In Sequence Mode or Scenes Mode the user can control several functions from one switch. The unit is lightweight with simple mounting for portability within different rooms in a home. OPTIONS: Remote sensors to control items in other rooms and Possum PIRL for sudsidiary control of computers and communication aids. POWER: Uses battery. DIMENSIONS: 190 x 75 x 35 millimeters.
