Oaks of Righteousness receives PNC Bank grant for child care

Jan. 3—Oaks of Righteousness recently received a generous donation from PNC Bank to support the church's daycare center.
The church was selected to receive a $10,000 grant from the bank specifically to be used to further their efforts to provide free child care to the community.
"It's a grant they have specifically for child care," said Oaks of Righteousness pastor, Heather Boone. "It's a free child care center so it will help us greatly to cover the costs and to help with teachers salaries."
Boone explained that Oaks Acorn Village, which is licensed to care for 33 children, runs entirely off of donations and support from volunteers so the grant provided will help immensely.
"We're just excited," said Boone.
