Terrace MLA Ellis Ross to host town halls on child care and autism support

B.C. United Skeena MLA Ellis Ross is bringing his party's critic for housing and child care to Terrace to hold one town hall on autism and another one on child care.

Karin Kirkpatrick, the B.C. United MLA for West Vancouver-Capilano, will be with Ross at his office at 104-4710 Lazelle Ave.May 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to hear from parents and caregivers of children with autism and at the Days Inn banquet room the next day from 9:30 a.m. to noon to hear the challenges faced by parents and caregivers due to a lack of available childcare.

Each session will involve an open mic so those attending can engage in conversation.

Ross has said previously he has been fielding calls from constituents saying there is a lack of child care.

Editor's note: The town hall scheduled for May 19 has been pushed to 1 p.m. from 10 a.m.
