Single-family homes, apartments, town houses, child-care building proposed in Meridian

Idaho Statesman - 7/8/2021

Jul. 8—A large subdivision of single-family homes, apartments and town houses may be coming to southeast Meridian.

CBH Homes, via Endurance Holdings LLC, is seeking the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission's approval for the 38-acre Centerville subdivision located on the southeast corner of Amity and Eagle roads.

The proposal is for 124 single-family homes, 168 apartments and 35 town houses. The land is currently being used for agricultural production, the application said.

The apartments will be dispersed throughout 12 three-story buildings. Ten of the buildings will have 12 units and two larger buildings will have 24 units, the filing said. There will be a child care center located near the multifamily homes.

There will also be a clubhouse and pool incorporated into the multifamily buildings.

The apartments will include 108 one-bedrooms and 156 two-bedrooms.

The single-family homes will range from 3,416 square feet to 15,543 square feet. The town homes will range from 2,334 square feet to 3,704 square feet.

The subdivision will include a plaza, gazebo, playground and a pocket park.

The city's Land Use Map designates the area as mixed-use neighborhood and medium-density residential, the proposal said.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hear the proposal on Thursday, Aug. 5. at 6 p.m. in the Meridian City Council Chambers at city hall.
