HIV Testing, Counseling and Prevention Services

Tarrant County Public Health offers Rapid HIV and syphilis testing. Testing, counseling, and getting your results take about an hour. This testing does not include tests for other STDs that are transmitted the same way as HIV and syphilis. All services / information follow federal HIPAA laws and are kept confidential; records are only released with the client's written consent. HIV Anonymous testing is available. Should you have any questions about testing availability, please call (817) 321-4800.

Fees: Fees: We offer free HIV and Syphilis testing. Syphilis testing is offered with HIV testing though it is not a rapid test. If you would like a complete exam or other testing, fees for services will be charged according to insurance or income (if uninsured). Test Results:
All Rapid HIV results are available within your session.

HIV Prevention Programs:

Individual STD/HIV Counseling - Anyone testing for an STD or HIV will meet with an AHS Counselor to help them reduce the risk of future STDs or HIV. Clients who test positive will receive additional counseling and related services.
