Coronavirus: City estimates wait of 2 hours for COVID-19 testing Saturday

Florida Times-Union - 6/27/2020

The city of Jacksonville announced Saturday morning that patients awaiting testing for the coronavirus pandemic may have to wait as long as two hours.

Minutes after Saturday's opening of testing, the city said that Lot J drive-thru testing site south of TIAA Bank Field had more than 700 cars in line.

With morning temperatures up into the 80s, city officials reminded those in line to keep their windows up and to use air conditioning for cooling.

The wait there was estimated at approximately two hours.

In addition to Lot J and the Legends Center, Duval County COVID-19 testing is also available at several other locations, including pharmacies and urgent care providers.
