819 new cases reported

The number of reported coronavirus cases in Ohio continues to climb.

Ohio reported 819 new confirmed and probable cases Saturday, bringing the total to 49,455.

Saturday’s updated data from the Ohio Department of Health follows what was on Friday the fourth-highest day of new cases — 987 — in the state since the outbreak began in April.

A total of 2,804 Ohioans have died from the virus.
