You were tested for COVID-19. Now what?

Duluth News-Tribune - 12/3/2020

Dec. 4--In an effort to "make it as easy as possible" for people to know what steps to take if they should be tested for COVID-19 and what they should do afterward, St. Luke's, Essentia Health and St. Louis County released a community guidance chart Wednesday.

The information lays out who should get tested, what they should do based on their results and how long they should expect to quarantine or isolate.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday released new guidance on shorter quarantines in certain situations. In its weekly email update, the Minnesota Department of Health acknowledged the CDC's new guidelines and said they will review them and make recommendations as necessary.

"For the time being, people should continue to follow the current MDH guidelines, including to stay home (quarantine) for 14 days if exposed to COVID-19," Wednesday's email said.

St. Louis County communications manager Dana Kazel said the county follows the lead from MDH so the graphic below is what people in the community should follow.
