Hays County reports 111 new coronavirus cases

Here's the latest on the coronavirus pandemic in Hays County.
County officials on Tuesday reported 407 new cases, marking the largest single-day increase in new coronavirus cases to date. In a written statement Wednesday, Hays County Epidemiologist Ian Harris continued health officials' plea for residents to stay home amid a recent spike in new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. The county will not be reporting coronavirus data on New Year's Day. The local health department in Hays County has corrected its data several times since the start of the pandemic and recently has said it will review its data each week, making necessary updates to its online dashboards on a weekly basis.
