Ontario County Public Health: 32 new COVID-19 cases Sept. 8

HOPEWELL — Ontario County Public Health is reporting 32 new COVID-19 community cases as of 1 p.m.Sept. 8.

Six of the first 21 cases were vaccinated, and one was too young to be vaccinated, according to public health staff. Details on the remainder of the case were not immediately available.

That brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 8,165 since the start of the pandemic; 114 people have died and 7,889 people have recovered.

Ontario County remains in the High category for transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
