BraillePlace is a braille printer designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This interpoint embosser has a print speed of 300 characters per second and is designed for use in braille publishing. It can print lines 45 characters wide using Library of Congress spacing, with 27 lines per page maximum. It connects to any computer through the parallel or serial ports, and has keypad controls with ET Speaks to vocalize controls and do other audio tasks. Braille can be printed in a variety of sizes, including Library of Congress standard Braille, Jumbo Braille, California Sign Braille, Petite Braille, and Petite Braille with interlining, as well as Moon Type for the United Kingdom. It uses continuous tractor feed paper of weights from standard computer paper through heavy index-type card stock. POWER: Uses a 220- volt electric line. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 58 x 30 x 39 inches.
