The Access Dinghy 303 Wide Seater is an accessible sailboat designed for use by individuals with spinal cord injury. This boat can be sailed single-handedly or by two full- sized adults. It has a wide hammock seat and manual joystick steering. Sails include a mainsail and a free standing, self-tacking Jib, with three control lines. To prevent capsizing and promote stability, the boat has a ballasted centerboard and a concave hull shape. A roller reefing system enables the sailor to adjust the size of the sail to suit various sailing conditions while the boat is under way. DIMENSIONS: 10 feet long; beam, 4 feet; and draft, 3 feet, 6 inches. The total sail area is 62 square feet; the main sail is 51.5 square feet (reefable to 5.4 square feet); the jib is 10.5 square feet. WEIGHT: 136 pounds. CAPACITY: 350 pounds combined weight of one or two sailors. COLORS: A choice of ten deck and sail flash colors, including maroon, red, orange, yellow, lime, light blue, dark blue, lilac, pink, or jade.
