DO-IT-YOURSELF-ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To create a splint to hold the finger in a downward position to enable an individual with inclusion-body myositis to continue to play the piano. A straw is secured to the Velcro wrist strap and the hair loops are attached to the end of the straw. When the attached loop is placed over the index finger, it pulls the finger down to enable the striking of the key.
