The IBM ViaVoice Speech Recognition SDK (Software Developers Kit) is a voice output and software authoring program designed for use by software developers to create software accessible to individuals who are blind or have low vision or upper extremity or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This kit contains documentation, samples, and tools to help the developer to speech enable applications using IBM ViaVoice dictation and/or command & control Runtimes. This large vocabulary speaker-dependent voice recognition technology dynamically converts voice into text for a wide variety of application uses, including dictation and/or live computer navigation. The software development kit supports a US English development environment to speech-enable applications in multiple languages. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 266 megaHertz (MHz) processor and 256 Kilobyte L2 cache or equivalent; Windows 95 OSR2, 98, Me, NT SP5, XP, or 2000 operating system; 64 megabytes (MB) RAM for Windows 95/98/Me/NT, or 96 MB RAM for Windows 2000; 450 MB of available hard disk space; 16-bit sound card; noise canceling microphone; Quadspeed CD-ROM drive; and IBM ViaVoice RunTime Kit for Windows.
