This Pool Noodle Card Holder is a holder made out of a pool noodle for playing cards designed for people with upper extremity disabilities to be able to hold a set of playing cards. By: The Brown Bag Teacher http://thebrownbagteacher.blogspot.com/2015/06/teacher-hack-pool-noodle-card-holders.html

Technical Specifications:

Materials:a cutting board, a smooth knife (NOT a serrated one), and a pool noodle.

  • Step 1: Cut the pool noodle into 1-2 inch segments. Measure or eyeball it.
  • Step 2: Cut the slit in each holder, all around the circle down about 3/4 inch. It's enough so cards can fit, but not so much that the noodle will fall apart. The maker should cut a 360-degree slit so students don't have to worry about holding the correct side of the card holder.
  • Step 3: Use by placing one card in and fanning the rest of the cards on top.
