Frozen Slime Recipe

The Frozen Slime Recipe is a do it yourself activity for children with sensory processing disorder to help them calm down. 

Technical Specifications: 

Step One: Gather materials.

  • 1 cup of blue glitter glue.
  • 4-8 oz of liquid starch.
  • Optional addition: glitter.
  • Note:  The user can add iridescent glitter to their slime to make it extra sparkly. In addition, they can add light blue glitter.  To make the user’s slime icy-cold place the glue and liquid starch in the refrigerator for a few hours before beginning this craft.

Step Two: Pour the blue glitter glue into a large bowl. Use one cup of glue.

Step Three: Have the child slowly add liquid starch to the bowl and mix, slowly adding more starch and mixing until the desired consistency is reached.

Step Four: Once the slime is formed remove it from the bowl and knead it with clean, dry hands.

Step Five: After some kneading, the artist will have super sparkly, Frozen slime.

Step Six: Have the child engage in free play.
