Number Train is a math skills tutorial program designed for use by children with cognitive or learning disabilities. This program features Murphy mouse acting as a guide through fully narrated interactive activities, such as rolling dice and playing an adding game with an elephant, learning about odd and even numbers with Fandango Frogs, and subtracting with ducks as they dive into the water and swim away. Mathematical concepts and vocabulary are introduced clearly with full narration. Contents include numbers from zero to twenty, ordering numbers, place value, odd and even numbers, counting by twos, addition as combining two or three sets, addition as counting on, and subtraction as taking away. Program features include three levels of difficulty, a choice of activities for individual students, and records of student progress. COMPATIBILITY: The PC Macintosh hybrid CD-ROM has versions for use on IBM and compatible or Mactintosh computers with or without a network. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The IBM version requires a 486/66 or faster processor, 8 megabytes (MB) RAM, 2X speed CD-ROM drive, SVGA graphics, and Windows 3.1 or higher. The Macintosh version requires a Macintosh LC, PowerPC, or iMac; 8 MB RAM, 2X speed CD-ROM drive, and a 640 x 480, 256-color monitor .
