Man charged with domestic assault

A man was arrested on Tuesday night after allegedly holding a knife to his wife’s throat.

At approximately 8 p.m., officers received a report of a domestic assault, police say.

The woman said she and her 44-year-old husband had been arguing and he held a knife to her throat.

Officers went to the residence and arrested the man. Police say he was highly intoxicated.

He was lodged at Brandon police headquarters until sober.
