BRIEF: 45-year prison sentence in child sex abuse case

Feb. 15--A Cottonwood man has been sentenced to 45 years to life in prison for the continuous sex abuse of two children, ages 4 and 9 years, according to the Tehama County District Attorney's Office.
Ryan Anthony Hill, 24, received the sentence in Tehama County Superior Court after pleading guilty to three felony counts of oral copulation and sexual penetration with a child under 10 years. Original charges filed against Hill also included sodomy with a child and special allegations of continuous sexual abuse-aggravated circumstances and lewd acts upon a child.
According to court documents, Hill committed the abuse between Nov. 1, 2016 and April 18, 2017, in Tehama County.
He was arrested by a Tehama County sheriff's detective on April 20 and booked into the Tehama County Jail on $4 million bail, where he remained through sentencing.
